Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
