Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
